A school counselor position is available at an elementary school in Cortez, CO, for the current school year. This contract role offers a structured four-day workweek from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, supporting a caseload of approximately 260 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to elementary students.
• Develop and implement support programs addressing academic, social, and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to foster a positive school environment.
• Assist in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services.

Qualifications:

• Valid School Counselor Certificate for the state of Colorado.
• Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload effectively and prioritize multiple demands.
