Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in School Counseling or a related field
  • Valid state certification or licensure in School Counseling
  • Proven experience working with elementary and middle school students
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement counseling programs
  • Knowledge of mental health practices and services in educational settings

Location: Brimley, MI

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing a range of emotional and behavioral issues
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to support student well-being
  • Develop and implement comprehensive counseling programs tailored to student needs
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records and progress documentation
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on mental health awareness for staff and parents
  • Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of a positive school environment
