Job Description

A full-time school counselor is needed to provide guidance services for K-12 students within a district-wide setting in South Carolina. This contract position spans the current school year and offers opportunities to support students academic, social, and emotional development through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaboration with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive counseling services to K-12 students
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop individualized support plans
  • Facilitate group sessions and workshops on topics such as academic planning, mental health, and career readiness
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote student success
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and confidentiality requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid South Carolina School Counselor licensure
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills
