Job Description

A K-12 school in Aurora, IL, is seeking a qualified Counselor to provide essential support services to students across all grade levels. This contract position focuses on fostering student well-being, academic success, and social-emotional development through individual and group counseling sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group counseling to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop supportive interventions.
  • Assist with academic planning, career exploration, and personal development.
  • Provide crisis intervention and referral services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
  • Support school-wide initiatives promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid state counseling certification or licensure.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of student development and counseling techniques.
