A part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Whittier, CA. This contract position offers a chance to work with an elementary caseload, providing vital therapeutic services to students. The role is onsite and requires school-based experience along with an active California license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services tailored to elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student development and success
- Maintain documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and implement appropriate therapeutic interventions
Qualifications and Experience Needed:
- Active California COTA license
- Demonstrated experience working in a school-based setting
- Familiarity with elementary-aged caseloads
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite and engage effectively with students and staff
Position Details:
- Location: Whittier, CA, at an elementary school site
- Schedule: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
