Job Description

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available within a K-12 public school setting in Thornton, CO. This contract role supports students across elementary through high school levels, providing essential occupational therapy services that enhance learning and developmental skills. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 22, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs across the K-12 age spectrum.
  • Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to support student progress and functional goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and district requirements.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development.
  • Provide services on-site; remote or hybrid work is not an option for this role.

Qualifications:

  • Current, active COTA licensure is required.
  • Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.

Location & Schedule:

  • This role is based in Thornton, CO, serving the Denver area school district.
  • Full-time commitment of 35+ hours per week.
