Job Description

A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-8 students in a dynamic school environment. This role involves providing direct therapy treatment sessions and therapeutic support within a K-12 educational setting located in Peoria, AZ.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy treatment sessions tailored to students in grades K-8.
  • Collaborate with teachers and educational staff, serving as a resource to support student needs.
  • Utilize and provide equipment and assistive technology to enhance student participation in therapy and classroom activities.
  • Monitor individual student responses to therapy and modify interventions accordingly.
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of therapy-related data.
  • Travel between assigned school sites to perform therapy activities as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and valid COTA license is required.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.
  • Skilled in using assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
  • Strong observational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel between assigned sites.

Location: Peoria, Arizona
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Duration: Contract for the current school year (CSY)
