Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid IL COTA certification
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy settings a plus
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Empathy, adaptability, and commitment to student-centered care
What Youll Do:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students under guidance of an Occupational Therapist
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support students development of functional skills and independence within the school setting
- Document progress and participate in team meetings to track and support student growth
- Modify activities and recommend adaptive equipment when necessary for student success
- Educate staff and families on strategies to reinforce progress across environments
