Job Description

A certified occupational therapy assistant is sought for an upcoming position in a K-12 school setting located in Mesa, AZ. This role is designed for the upcoming school year and involves working with a diverse student population, primarily focusing on pediatric needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement and adapt therapy programs tailored to individual student needs.
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to a caseload of approximately 60-70 students, with a focus on consult-only cases as needed.
  • Engage with students to promote participation in school activities and enhance their therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions in compliance with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students requiring occupational therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Arizona COTA license.
  • Current IVP fingerprint clearance card.
  • Pediatric experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a school environment and manage a varied caseload.
