Job Description

A part-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position is available to support elementary school students with developmental and therapeutic needs. This role involves working onsite at an elementary school with a caseload focused on early education students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services tailored to elementary school students
  • Collaborate with educators to support student progress and adapt therapies
  • Document and maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Use therapeutic techniques to enhance students' fine motor, sensory, and functional skills

Qualifications:

  • Valid, active California COTA license is required
  • Prior experience working in schools, preferably with elementary-aged children
  • Ability to work onsite with students and staff
  • Strong communication skills for collaborative intervention planning
  • Availability for a Zoom interview process

Position Details:

  • Location: Long Beach, CA elementary school setting
  • Contract length: Current school year, starting ASAP through June 12, 2026
  • Hours: Part-time, 20-25 hours per week
  • Caseload: Elementary students
  • Number of openings: 1
