This opportunity is for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) supporting elementary and middle school students in a K-12 school located near Indiantown, FL, close to Okeechobee and Barber Quarters. This full-time, school-year contract position offers a supportive environment where you will play a key role in helping students achieve greater independence and success through occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy assistance to elementary and middle school students based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to implement effective therapy strategies
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes according to district policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing appropriate goals and interventions
