Job Description

A certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide specialized support to K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Clovis, NM. This contract position covers the entire school year (CSY) and offers a consistent 37.5-hour work week spread across five days. The role focuses on delivering functional therapy services that promote students' participation and success in educational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
  • Assist students with developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills necessary for school participation
  • Document student progress and communicate with educators and families to support integrated care
  • Participate in planning and collaboration with educational teams to support student needs

Qualifications:

  • Current New Mexico Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in K-12 educational environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and caregivers
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
