A dynamic opportunity is available for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to deliver essential school-based therapy services in the Phoenix, AZ area. This contract position offers a guaranteed 35-hour workweek with a commitment through May 27, 2026, providing stability and meaningful engagement in K-12 educational settings.
Located within diverse school sites serving K-8 students, this role allows you to apply your therapeutic skills in a supportive environment focused on student growth and special education. You will collaborate closely with licensed occupational therapists and educational teams to implement targeted treatment plans and support individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students under licensed OT supervision
- Assist with managing and supervising OT caseloads across multiple school assignments
- Accurately complete and maintain daily therapy documentation and progress notes
- Participate in team meetings to support IEP goals and student development
- Maintain professional confidentiality and standards in all school interactions
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Previous school-based experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; full supervision and support will be provided
Additional Details:
- Four full-time positions available: two in Phoenix 85017 and two in Phoenix 85033
- Possibility of travel between school sites with paid travel time when applicable
- Supervision provided by district-employed OTs alongside collaborative special education teams
