Job Description

A healthcare professional with credentials as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide specialized support in a K-12 educational setting for the 2025-2026 school year in Elgin, Illinois. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with students across a range of grade levels, delivering therapeutic services tailored to diverse developmental needs.

Positions are available for both part-time (22.5 hours per week) and full-time (37.5 hours per week) schedules. Services will be provided onsite during the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois COTA license
  • Experience working within healthcare or school-based occupational therapy settings
  • Ability to support a wide age range of students (Grades K-12)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational therapy interventions to support student participation and success in school activities
  • Evaluate and document student progress toward individualized therapy goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to develop and implement effective therapy plans
  • Maintain compliance with school policies and regulatory standards
