Occupational Therapist Assistant School-Based COTA (Part-Time, Onsite)
Location: Cambridge, MA | K-8 School Setting | Contract, Academic School Year
This opportunity is ideal for a licensed Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) looking to apply their skills in a dynamic K-8 school environment. Working onsite two days per week, you will be a crucial part of the team supporting students occupational therapy needs throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to implement individualized intervention plans for students in grades K-8
- Assist in assessing student progress and modifying therapy activities as needed
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in the school setting, focusing on improving students functional abilities related to education and daily school activities
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills essential for academic success
- Document therapy services and maintain accurate records according to regulatory and school policies
Qualifications:
- Valid Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license
- Experience working in school-based settings is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work onsite part-time, two days per week during the academic school year
