Job Description

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting located in Baldwin, Michigan. This contract position spans the current school year and offers the chance to contribute to the developmental growth and well-being of students from various grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with licensed occupational therapists to implement individualized therapy plans designed to support students educational and functional goals.
  • Deliver specialized therapy services to children ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, addressing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive behaviors.
  • Document student progress, maintain clear communication with educators and families, and participate in team meetings to optimize student outcomes.
  • Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of a school-aged population within a structured educational environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Michigan certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required.
  • Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy settings is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and caregivers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on student success.
