Job Description

Seeking a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support K-12 students in a full-time, on-site role within the Denver area. This contract position offers the opportunity to work directly with a school district focused on providing occupational therapy services to children within a school setting.

Location: Arvada, CO (Denver Area) Contract Duration: ASAP through May 22, 2026 Schedule: Full-time, 35+ hours per week Setting: K-12 School Environment (On-site only, no remote or hybrid options) Caseload: To be determined Age Group: School-age children within the K-12 spectrum

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with school-based therapists and educational staff to deliver occupational therapy services aligned with students individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions that support students development, participation, and access to the curriculum
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the planning and adjustment of therapy goals based on student needs

Qualifications:

  • Active COTA licensure is required
  • Experience working in a school-based environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and school personnel
  • Reliable availability for on-site work in the Arvada/Denver area
