Job Description

A K-12 school district in Trona, CA, is seeking an experienced Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification to provide comprehensive behavioral support throughout the academic year. This onsite contract position, running from August 2026 through May 2027, involves working district-wide to serve a caseload of over 30 students and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students across K-12.
  • Supervise and train RBTs to ensure effective delivery of behavioral services.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support student progress.
  • Monitor and document student behaviors, making adjustments to interventions as needed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate services.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required.
  • Experience working with students in K-12 educational settings.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of 30+ students effectively.
  • Strong supervisory skills for managing and mentoring RBTs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to providing evidence-based behavioral interventions.
