Job Description

Professionals with expertise in behavior analysis and support are sought for a full-time position working with K-8 students who have moderate to severe cognitive disabilities in an on-site educational setting. This role focuses on the Meadowood Program within a school district located in Wilmington, DE, serving a broad range of K-12 students. The contract position spans the current school year, with a start date as soon as possible and concluding on June 12, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee behavior intervention plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational and behavioral outcomes
  • Monitor and assess progress, adjusting strategies based on data and observations
  • Provide training and guidance to school staff on behavior management techniques
  • Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school policies and licensure standards

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Delaware licensure with preference for candidates with school-based experience
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is highly desired
  • Experience working with students who have moderate to severe cognitive impairments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to engage effectively with educators, families, and administrators
  • Commitment to working on-site during designated school hours (8:45 AM - 4:15 PM)

Location and Schedule:

  • Position is onsite at the Wilmington, DE school site within the Meadowood Program
  • Full-time role consisting of 37.5 hours per week
