Job Description

A full-time, contract position is available for a Behavior Specialist with BCBA credentials to support K-12 students in a district-wide setting. This opportunity offers the chance to work onsite in a dynamic educational environment focused on providing individualized behavioral support across multiple schools.

Location: Johannesburg, CA
Duration: August 6, 2026 May 28, 2027
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 30+ students with behavioral needs
Role: Supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and collaborating closely with school staff

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies tailored to individual student needs
  • Monitor and supervise RBTs to ensure effective intervention delivery
  • Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to guide data-driven decision-making
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student growth and positive behavioral outcomes
  • Provide training and support to school personnel to enhance behavioral support programs

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
  • Experience working in K-12 school settings preferred
  • Ability to manage a caseload of 30+ students and supervise multiple RBTs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse stakeholders
  • Familiarity with district-level educational policies and procedures is advantageous
