Job Description

A K-12 school in Hopkins, MN is seeking a qualified Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification to support students through behavioral interventions. This contract position for the current school year offers an opportunity to positively impact the educational experience of diverse learners while collaborating with educators and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) tailored to individual student needs
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and support personnel to implement effective behavioral strategies
  • Monitor and analyze student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Provide training and resources to school staff regarding behavior management techniques and best practices
  • Ensure compliance with established regulations and school policies related to behavior support

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis and evidence-based intervention methods
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain detailed documentation
