This opportunity is for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide specialized support in a K-12 school setting located in Bear, DE. The role involves working closely with a kindergarten student in a general education classroom to address and manage aggressive behaviors. The position requires an active or previously held RBT certification and experience working with students exhibiting aggressive behaviors in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Provide direct one-on-one support to a student with aggressive behaviors.
- Assist with life-skills support, including toileting and bathroom routines.
- Collect and record data on student behavior and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to ensure consistent behavior management strategies.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and ethical guidelines.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RBT certification or previous certification is mandatory.
- Proven school-based experience working with students exhibiting aggressive behaviors.
- Comfortable supporting life skills, including toileting assistance.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work full time, 37.5 hours per week from 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM EST.
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance.
