This opportunity calls for a dedicated Behavior Specialist with BCBA credentials to support K-8 students in a specialized Meadowood Program designed for individuals with moderate to severe cognitive abilities. The role requires a professional licensed in Delaware, ideally with school experience, who can provide expert behavioral interventions and support within a K-12 educational setting.
Location: Bear, Delaware
Job Type: Contract - Current School Year (CSY)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week | 8:45 AM 4:15 PM
Duration: Immediate start through June 12, 2026
On-site presence is mandatory for effective collaboration and student engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans for students with moderate to severe cognitive challenges
- Collaborate closely with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive behavior and learning outcomes
- Conduct assessments and analyze behavioral data to guide treatment strategies
- Provide ongoing training and support for school personnel on behavior management techniques
- Ensure compliance with relevant state licensure and educational guidelines
Qualifications:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
- Delaware state licensure, with preference for candidates experienced in school settings
- Proven ability to work effectively with students exhibiting moderate to severe cognitive disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills suitable for a multidisciplinary educational environment
- Commitment to supporting students academic and social-emotional development through behavioral expertise
