A dynamic school district in the Jim Thorpe area is preparing to welcome a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity spans three diverse school sites: elementary, intermediate, and high school locations within the district. As the districts first BCBA, you will set the standard and play a vital part in cultivating a data-driven, collaborative approach to student behavior and support.
Key Qualifications:
- Current BCBA certification required.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Experience supporting both general education and special education populations.
- Skilled in collaborating with teachers, psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to provide a redacted FBA sample and professional references upon request.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct behavior analytic services to students across all district schools.
- Observe student behavior in classrooms, including emotional support environments, to identify and address behavioral needs.
- Complete comprehensive FBAs and design individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations grounded in data.
- Consult regularly with district psychologists and educators, modeling best practices in behavior analysis.
- Guide the district in shaping effective, compassionate behavioral supports for both staff and students.
