Job Description

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is needed to provide specialized behavioral support for a student displaying significant behavioral challenges during transportation and in a K-12 school setting near Barnegat, NJ. This contracted position offers a unique opportunity to apply expertise in behavior management in a focused, impactful way while working closely with a student requiring consistent and attentive care.

Location: Near Barnegat, New Jersey
Schedule: Approximately 10 hours per week, including 2 hours each morning on the school bus supporting the student, with additional consultation and planning hours as needed
Duration: School Year Contract (CSY)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct behavioral support and interventions during student transportation
  • Implement behavior management strategies to ensure safety and promote positive behaviors
  • Collaborate with school personnel and caregivers to develop and adjust behavior plans
  • Conduct ongoing consultation, data collection, and planning to address behavioral needs
  • Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques effectively

Qualifications:

  • Active BCBA certification required
  • Demonstrated experience working with students facing behavioral and emotional challenges
  • Proficient in crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary team
