Job Description

A full-time audiologist opportunity is available to provide comprehensive audiology services within a K-12 school district in the Virginia Beach area. This role involves developing and managing an itinerant audiology program, serving students across multiple schools. The position requires travel to various school locations to conduct hearing assessments and support students auditory health needs. This contract assignment runs through the school year, starting ASAP and ending mid-June.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an audiology services program for the district
  • Conduct hearing screenings, evaluations, and follow-up services for K-12 students
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student auditory needs
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with state licensure and credentialing requirements
  • Travel between school sites to deliver services in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Audiology required
  • Active Audiologist licensure in Virginia is mandatory
  • Experience working with school-age children preferred
  • Ability to design and lead a program from the ground up
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the districts schools

Location: Virginia Beach area, VA
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract Length: Contract through the current school year (ASAP until 6/16/2026)
