Job Description

Adaptive Physical Education teaching opportunity available for an experienced educator in Saratoga, CA. This part-time role focuses on providing specialized physical education services at the elementary level under a contract status for the current school year (CSY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver adaptive physical education instruction tailored to the needs of elementary and middle school students.
  • Provide 50 minutes per week at the elementary level and 70 minutes per week at the middle school level.
  • Collaborate with school staff and coordinate services to support students physical development and inclusive participation.
  • Ensure compliance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and California education standards.
  • Participate in district training and onboarding sessions as required.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation and communication with related teams.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California teaching license with an APE (Adaptive Physical Education) endorsement.
  • Experience working within elementary and/or middle school environments.
  • Ability to deliver adaptive physical education services effectively and with flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with educators, students, and families.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based at one school location in Saratoga, CA.
  • Part-time engagement: Up to 3 hours per week.
  • Contract duration: Current school year.
  • Onsite or remote interview options available.
