Job Description

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in an elementary school setting. This role focuses on delivering specialized physical education tailored to meet the unique needs of students requiring adaptive support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized physical education programs for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive physical education experience.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust activities to promote physical development, motor skills, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable guidelines and standards.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for all students.

Qualifications:

  • Hold a valid Minnesota Adaptive Physical Education (DAPE) Teacher License.
  • Experience working with K-12 students in an adaptive physical education setting.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to student-centered teaching and promoting inclusive practices.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position located onsite in Burnsville, MN.
  • Full-time or part-time hours available.
  • Contract duration aligned with the current school year.
