Job Title: School Psychologist 
Location: Chicago, IL  
Job Type: Full-Time 

Position Overview:
The School Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide psychological services to students in pre-kindergarten through high school. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting assessments, providing counseling, and collaborating with staff and families to support students’ social-emotional development and academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for students to identify academic, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs.  
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavior management, and social skills.  
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.  
- Offer consultation to staff regarding classroom management, student behavior, and academic interventions.  
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed, including risk assessments and emergency support.  
- Support students in developing coping strategies and resilience to foster positive mental health.  
- Offer professional development to staff on mental health topics, behavior management, and student support strategies.  
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including assessment results, progress reports, and treatment plans.  
- Stay informed on the latest research and best practices in school psychology, mental health, and education.

Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.  
- Valid licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois
- Strong understanding of psychoeducational assessments, interventions, and counseling techniques.  
- Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred, but not required.  
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.  
- Commitment to fostering a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.  
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
