Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Hiwassee, Georgia
Job Type: Full-time
Job Description: As a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in assessing and addressing the psychological and educational needs of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive abilities, emotional well-being, and social skills.
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Providing direct counseling and intervention services to students individually or in small groups to support their social and emotional well-being.
  • Implementing evidence-based strategies and interventions to improve students' academic performance, behavior, and overall functioning.
  • Assisting in the identification and intervention of learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and other psychological or behavioral disorders.
  • Collaborating with the school's multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated support for students' needs.
  • Providing consultation and guidance to teachers and parents on strategies to address students' psychological and educational needs.
  • Monitoring and evaluating students' progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Georgia (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
  • Previous experience as a School Psychologist or related role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
