School Psychologist Job in Clarksville, VA
A local school district is already interviewing School Psychologists for this upcoming school year in Clarksville, Virginia. This position is full time and will be for the whole upcoming school year. The caseload will be with PreK-12th grade at multiple school sites within the district and will involve standard Psych duties including but not limited to: Assessments, consultations, counseling, and intervention planning. Candidates must be comfortable working alongside other departments like RTI Teams, and Teachers alike.
Applicants MUST have VA School Psych Certification
School Psych Job Skills:
Conduct legally defensible evaluations for students suspected to require specially designed instruction in addition to re-evaluations for students identified as requiring special education and related services within state and federal timelines.
Serve as a member of the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee for students who have identified emotional/behavioral needs, including those who require a supplement to the code of conduct (i.e., Behavior Intervention Plan) and an Autism ARD Supplement.
Conduct evaluations (e.g. Functional Behavioral Assessments) to guide ARD/IEP Committee decisions regarding emotional/behavioral programming.
