Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated full-time school psychologist to join a school district, and provide comprehensive psychological services to the students. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the academic and social-emotional well-being of students.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational evaluations to assess students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies.
  • Provide counseling and therapy to students to address emotional and behavioral concerns.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team meetings and assist in the development of appropriate educational plans.
  • Support teachers and staff in implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support services as needed.

Requirements:

  • Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid North Carolina state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working as a school psychologist or in a similar educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understanding of special education laws and regulations.
  • Dedication to continuous professional development.
