School Counselor (or School Social Worker)

Location: Palatine, IL

Employer: Sunbelt

Discipline(s) Needed: School Counselor (School Social Worker also accepted)

Start Date: August 2024

End Date: May 2025

Hours per Week: Full-Time, 32.5 hours

  • 1-hour unpaid lunch break daily

Caseload/Job Details:

  • Elementary caseload: K-5
  • Strong background and experience with the RTI and MTSS process
  • Ability to establish strong connections with students and families
  • Knowledge of social/emotional needs of the student body
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with students, families, and staff


  • IL school counselor PEL license
  • Strong IEP experience
  • Previous interview history with this district will be verified (please ensure you have not previously interviewed)

Interview Process: Candidates must be prepared to discuss their IEP experience and RTI and MTSS experience during the interview process.
