Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Buckeye, Arizona

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to work within our school setting. As an SLP, you will play a vital role in supporting students with speech, language, and communication disorders. You will collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to provide assessments, interventions, and therapy to enhance students' communication skills. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and collaborate with the IEP team to establish appropriate goals.
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students, including articulation therapy, language intervention, social communication skills training, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to address a range of communication disorders and challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create inclusive classrooms and develop strategies to support students' communication needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and evaluation reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and other team members to provide updates on students' progress and recommendations for home-based interventions.
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights to support the development of appropriate educational plans for students.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Arizona.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and evidence-based interventions for students with special needs.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement therapy strategies to address a range of communication challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills to maintain accurate records and meet regulatory requirements.
