12-hour Nights

We are currently seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract position in Glens Falls, New York. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, you will provide specialized care to patients in our telemetry unit, monitoring and interpreting their cardiac rhythms. This contract opportunity offers a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the telemetry unit, ensuring accurate monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
Administer medications, perform assessments, and implement appropriate interventions based on patient needs and telemetry findings.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions and changes in telemetry readings.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

Valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
Minimum of two years of related experience in a telemetry unit.
Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support).
Proficient knowledge of telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
