Join a healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist providing critical respiratory care across all patient agesfrom neonates to adults. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply your skills in a hospital setting equipped with advanced respiratory technology.

Location: Situated in Peru, NY, this facility is a 341-bed hospital offering a wide range of services and serving a diverse patient population. The hospitals environment supports professional growth with access to up-to-date clinical tools and collaborative care teams.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver respiratory therapies and treatments utilizing Puritan Bennett 980 & 840, LTV1200 ventilators, and arterial blood gas (ABG) equipment.
• Provide respiratory care support across hospital floors, including neonate to adult patient populations.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation through the EPIC system and manage medication via Pyxis.
• Adhere to hospital infection control and safety protocols, including wearing appropriate scrubs and personal protective equipment.
• Participate in a rotating schedule of 12-hour day and night shifts with weekend and holiday responsibilities.
• Assist in floating assignments within hospital units as needed.

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are mandatory.
• Effective communication skills and ability to function in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation and Pyxis medication systems highly preferred.

Schedule:

• 12-hour shifts, day and night rotations.
• Weekend duty required every other weekend.
• Holiday coverage expected.
• No on-call responsibilities.

Professional Attire:

• Scrubs in black or ceil blue, closed, non-skid shoes.
• Follow hospital policies on jewelry, grooming, and nail polish.
• No beard for N95 mask compliance.
