Healthcare facilities are seeking skilled and dedicated professionals to fill a critical role supporting patients requiring respiratory therapy. This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative medical team and utilize advanced therapeutic skills to make a difference in patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- 3 shifts per week, 12-hour days (6:00 AM 6:30 PM)
- Every other weekend rotation
Key Qualifications:
- Current Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) also considered
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Respiratory Therapist in a clinical setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments to patients as ordered by referring physicians
- Monitor patient responses, record progress, and adjust therapeutic interventions accordingly
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of respiratory care equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare staff on care plans to ensure optimal respiratory support
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy procedures and at-home care, as appropriate
- Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
