A healthcare facility in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide expert respiratory care on a contract basis. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient well-being in a dynamic clinical setting.
Schedule:
- Day shift: 6:00 AM 6:30 PM
- 3 shifts per week
- Every other weekend coverage
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care and use of equipment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with valid Wisconsin state license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care) credentials required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs
