Job Description

A healthcare facility in Brookfield, WI, is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to fill a contract position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for respiratory care professionals with experience who hold either a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential, to contribute to patient health in a supportive environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) considered
  • Valid Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications mandatory

Work Schedule:

  • 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00 AM - 06:30 PM)
  • Every other week rotation

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory care treatments and procedures under physician orders
  • Monitor and assess patients respiratory status, adjusting treatments as needed
  • Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment in compliance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate closely with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately and promptly
