Job Description

A healthcare facility in Racine, WI, is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a contract position starting on 11/3. This role offers a structured schedule with 36 hours per week, working three 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM and rotating every other weekend. The position provides an opportunity to apply your respiratory care skills in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or RRT-ACCS certification (preferred)
  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist with a solid understanding of respiratory therapy techniques and patient assessment

Responsibilities:

  • Perform respiratory therapy assessments and interventions following established protocols
  • Monitor and adjust ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Provide critical respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatments

Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours long (6:00 AM to 6:30 PM)
  • Rotating every other weekend
