Stepping into this role will expand your clinical expertise as you treat mostly geriatric and adult patient populations, with occasional pediatric care in the Emergency Department. As a valued respiratory therapist, youll work within a robust interdisciplinary team, engaging with advanced respiratory equipment and contemporary charting systems. This assignment is especially beneficial for professionals seeking exposure to a variety of patient care scenarios, innovative leadership, and collaborative best practicesall integral to advancing your resume and skillset.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • On-call: Varies
  • Maximum 60 hours per week, not to exceed 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
  • Flexible time-off: Up to 7 days per assignment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Covid vaccination required
  • Proficiency in vent management: CPAP, BiPap, intubation, extubation, ABGs, vent weaning
  • Experience with AVEA, Servo U, LPU 1200, parapack MRI, and Hamilton transport vents
  • Previous EPIC charting and Pyxis medication system exposure preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on respiratory care for a diverse adult and geriatric population
  • Collaborate with emergency and critical care teams, floating to all hospital units as needed
  • Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment
  • Maintain thorough patient documentation using EPIC
