Position Overview

VocoVision is seeking a dedicated Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team in Virginia. This remote position allows you to provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments, helping them thrive in a virtual learning environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Instruction: Deliver tailored lessons and support to students with visual impairments using virtual platforms.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with families, educators, and support staff to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Toolkit Utilization: Incorporate a comprehensive toolkit to enhance learning experiences and engagement.
  • Assessment: Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Advocacy: Support students in developing self-advocacy skills and independence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Education of the Visually Impaired, or related field.
