Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Indiana

Sunbelt is seeking a passionate and dedicated Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in the beautiful state of Indiana. Job Details:

  • Position: Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual instruction and support to K-12 students with mild to moderate hearing impairments.
  • Develop and implement customized educational plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Utilize digital teaching tools and technology to deliver engaging, interactive lessons.
  • Collaborate closely with other educators, parents, and educational professionals to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Conduct assessments and continually monitor student progress to adapt instructional strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment that supports both academic and social growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Indiana state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Prior experience working with students who have mild to moderate hearing impairments.
  • Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and technology.
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and experience in developing IEPs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A deep passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments.
