Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Indiana

Sunbelt is seeking a passionate and dedicated Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to join our team in the beautiful state of Indiana. Job Details:

Position: Digital Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Location: Indiana (Remote)
Employment Type: Full-time, Contract
Experience Level: Suitable for both entry-level and experienced professionals

Responsibilities:

Provide virtual instruction and support to K-12 students with mild to moderate hearing impairments.
Develop and implement customized educational plans, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tailored to each student's unique needs.
Utilize digital teaching tools and technology to deliver engaging, interactive lessons.
Collaborate closely with other educators, parents, and educational professionals to enhance students' learning experiences.
Conduct assessments and continually monitor student progress to adapt instructional strategies as necessary.
Foster a positive and inclusive online learning environment that supports both academic and social growth.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Indiana state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or eligibility to obtain one).
Prior experience working with students who have mild to moderate hearing impairments.
Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and technology.
Knowledge of assessment tools and experience in developing IEPs.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A deep passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of students with hearing impairments.
