Job Description: Sunbelt Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Digital Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ohio. As a Digital Special Education Teacher, you will work with K-12 students who have mild to moderate diagnoses, providing them with the support and instruction they need to succeed academically and socially. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while making a positive impact on students' lives.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in accordance with state and federal regulations
Utilize a digital platform to provide high-quality instruction to students with mild to moderate diagnoses
Conduct assessments to determine students' learning needs and develop appropriate teaching strategies
Provide individualized instruction and support to students, adapting curriculum materials as necessary
Collaborate with parents, general education teachers, and other professionals to ensure student progress and achievement
Monitor and track students' academic and behavioral progress, maintaining accurate records
Use assistive technology and digital tools to enhance the learning experience for students with special needs
Attend virtual meetings and professional development sessions as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
Valid Ohio teaching license in Special Education
Experience working with students who have mild to moderate diagnoses, including autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders
Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices
Proficient in using digital platforms and educational technology tools for remote teaching
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a remote team
Reliable internet connection and appropriate technology setup for remote teaching
