Job Title: Remote Special Education Teacher
Location: Ohio (Fully Remote)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are looking for a dedicated Remote Special Education Teacher to join our Ohio educational team. This fully remote role is designed for an educator passionate about providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs across the state.

Key Responsibilities

  • Individualized Instruction: Deliver specialized educational programs tailored to the unique needs of each student, adhering to their Individualized Education Programs (IEP).
  • IEP Coordination: Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other specialists to develop, implement, and review IEPs to ensure they are effectively meeting students' goals.
  • Student Assessment: Conduct regular evaluations to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Family Engagement: Maintain regular communication with families, providing updates on progress and strategies to support students’ educational development at home.
  • Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Work in collaboration with a team of educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive educational approach.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on the latest special education practices and remote teaching technologies.


  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid Ohio teaching license with a Special Education endorsement.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a special education setting, with experience in remote or virtual teaching environments preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency with digital educational tools and platforms, strong communication skills, and adept at creating individualized learning experiences.
  • Personal Characteristics: Empathetic, adaptable, and committed to the principles of equity and inclusion in education.

Work Environment

  • This position is entirely remote, requiring a professional home office setup suitable for conducting live virtual classes and meetings.
  • Flexible scheduling may be necessary to accommodate the needs of students and to participate in team meetings and parent conferences.
