Position Overview:
VocoVision is seeking a skilled and compassionate Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support deaf and hard-of-hearing students in a virtual classroom setting. We work with school districts across the county to help bring services to students no matter their location. This is a remote 1099 contract position, allowing you to live and work anywhere in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality, real-time sign language interpretation for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and school administrators to understand specific communication needs.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all virtual interactions.
Adapt interpretation style to support each student’s unique needs and abilities.
Utilize VocoVision’s online platform to manage schedules, assignments, and communication.

Qualifications:

Must be a licensed Sign Language Interpreter with an EIPA of 3.5 or higher.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a sign language interpreter in educational settings.
Ability to adapt to virtual interpreting technologies and platforms.
