Job Title: School Nurse (CSN or RN)
Location: Elk Grove, California
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced School Nurse (CSN or RN) to join our team in Elk Grove, CA. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, ensuring a safe and supportive school environment.
Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive health assessments and screenings for students.
Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, including the development and implementation of individualized healthcare plans (IHCPs).
Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide appropriate first aid and emergency care.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement health-related strategies and accommodations for students.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records and medical histories.
Educate students, staff, and families about health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.
Conduct health education programs and trainings for staff and students as needed.
Collaborate with community healthcare providers and agencies to coordinate services and resources.
Stay current with state regulations, best practices, and advancements in school nursing.

Qualifications:

Valid California School Nurse Credential (CSN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
Minimum of one year of experience working as a School Nurse or in a similar school setting.
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to address students' health needs effectively.
CPR and First Aid certifications.
