Key Responsibilities:
- Administer ionizing irradiation to patients as directed by physician instructions and treatment plans
- Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
- Explain treatment procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout procedures
- Maintain detailed, accurate patient records and document treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to monitor patient progress and adjust therapy as needed
- Follow established safety protocols for both patients and staff
Desired Qualifications:
- ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy or eligible
- Prior experience as a radiation therapist, with strong knowledge of current technologies and safety regulations
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients and clinical team members
- Committed to maintaining high standards of patient care and confidentiality
