Responsibilities:

• Accurately administer ionizing irradiation to patients as prescribed by department physicians
• Follow all protocols and safety regulations to ensure the wellbeing of patients and staff
• Collaborate closely with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, and fellow therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Properly operate radiation therapy equipment, including setup, calibration, and maintenance of treatment accuracy
• Provide compassionate patient care, delivering clear explanations and addressing questions to alleviate anxiety
• Document all treatment information accurately in patient records
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with infection control standards
• Stay current with best practices through ongoing professional development

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in Radiation Therapy
• Valid state licensure (where required)
• Prior experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting
• Familiarity with modern radiation therapy equipment and techniques
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
