Administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation with precision and care in a contract Radiation Therapist role located in North Myrtle Beach, SC. This position involves working with advanced linear accelerators, Tomotherapy units, or proton therapy units to deliver prescribed radiation treatment under the guidance of radiation oncologists. You will play a critical role in patient care, ensuring treatment accuracy, safety, and patient comfort throughout the process.

Responsibilities:

• Administer daily prescribed radiation therapy doses using advanced treatment equipment.
• Accurately position patients according to treatment prescriptions.
• Record and verify treatment data using specialized software.
• Follow strict radiation protection guidelines to safeguard patients, yourself, and staff.
• Educate and reassure patients and families about treatment procedures and aftercare.
